Pakistan head coach Grant Bradburn revealed his targets for the national men’s side on Saturday.
Bradburn shared his thoughts while speaking to media in Lahore after the commencement of a specialised camp for spinners at the National Cricket Academy.
“We aim to do well in all three formats of the game. We want to win the World Cup while also qualifying for the next ICC World Test Championship Final,” said Bradburn.
During the camp, the players will take part in extensive sessions in order to improve their skills ahead of the two-Test series against Sri Lanka next month.
“Players are putting in the hard yards in training despite the hot weather. The camp will help players fine tune their skills,” he said.
“We are hopeful about unearthing good spinners through this camp,” he added.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the appointment of Bradburn as head coach of the national men’s side for a period of two years last month.
Bradburn also served as the head coach, on consultancy basis, of the Pakistan team during the recently-concluded home series against New Zealand.
Bradburn has also worked as the fielding coach of the Pakistan team from 2018 till 2020 before joining the National Cricket Academy to concentrate on the coaches development.
